Green shoots in the garden...

As sad as it may be i do love it when that little seed finally open ups and the first signs of life pop up out of the ground. All of that hard work; feeding, digging, weeding is suddenly all worth it. There are so many seedlings coming through. I've got 3 rows of Carrots and i think some Parsnips ( although they could be weeds), my peas are beginning the climb up and we've got a good batch of broad beans.
The potatoes we planted in pots have already been earthed up once and these will soon be moved out of the polytunnel to make way for my tomatoes. The tunnel is now looking much more respectable and has a variety of squash and peppers planted in the ground.

The best news is we now have an allotment. We've only had the keys for a couple of weeks. Our plot is about 10 x 20mtrs and comes with a small green house and a shed. There's a lot of work to be done. It's a sea of dandelions and what looks like field horsetail. We now have to consider a whole host of new problems, worst of all, vermin! On the plus side there's a mass of Rhubarb, some leeks and what looks like a red currant bush. Plenty of weeding, digging, aches and pains ahead!
